Upload Center Help
Welcome to the One Show Upload Center. Using the Upload Bar at the bottom of the page you can upload and manage files for your entries.
Steps in order to upload files:
- Click the
button
- Select your file or multiple files using the shift key. Your upload should begin as soon as you click the select button.
- Once your file(s) are uploaded you can attach them to an entry by selecting "File Upload" in step 3 of entry creation. To attach a file to an entry simply check the box next to its name and Save. If you start an upload during step 3 it will be automatically attached to the current entry.
Tips for using the Uploader:
- Give your files names that are meaningful so you will be able to easily match them to the correct entry.
- The thumbnail shown to the left of your uploaded file's name is just for reference to help you visually identify your files.
- Consider organizing your files and uploading them all at once. The upload may take a while so you might want to start your upload at the end of your day and leave your computer on to transfer while you are away.
FAQs About the Upload Center:
- Why is my file name in gray and not allowing me to select it?
The uploader only accepts files in two formats: Quicktime MOVs (encoded with H.264 codec) and JPEGs. If your file is in another format, you must convert it in order to upload. - Why do I keep getting "file too large" errors?
The maximum filesize that the uploader will accept is 300MB. Anything larger will need to be re-encoded following the specifications listed on our Video Submission Guidelines page. - I am selecting my files and I see them appearing in my queue but the progress bar stays on 0%. Why is this?
Check with your IT department to see if they are blocking either FTP or HTTP uploads.
