Quarterly Entry System
Interactive work moves too fast for a once a year deadline.
Too often, award shows miss excellent work simply because it was done early in the year and forgotten by the time the deadlines approach. This was the inspiration for moving One Show Interactive to a new quarterly entry system: a first in the industry!
Starting this year, you have four chances to enter One Show Interactive each year.
Deadlines for the 2011 One Show Interactive will be:
Each quarter the One Show Interactive jury, a selection of the best and brightest in Interactive advertising, will judge entries. Work that moves past the quarterly judging round is assured a place in the One Show Interactive annual and goes on to final judging in April where pencils are awarded.
Eligibility: Entries do not have to have been "aired" or gone live during the quarter they are entered. Each year the eligibility period spans all four quarters.
To be eligible for the 2010 One Show Interactive awards, work must have aired between March 31, 2010 and February 28, 2011.
Outside of the new quarterly system, we also made some changes to our entry website. Since we know how disorienting change can be, we made this as simple as possible.
The actual online entry system should be very familiar to anyone who entered last year, we think you'll even notice a few improvements and simplifications. For all of those who are new to us, we think you'll find a clean, intuitive entry experience.
The biggest change you'll see is our new Upload Center. Now, if you plan on making multiple entries, or entering one piece of work in several categories you can upload all the files you need at once. Once you upload all your files they will available in your Upload Center where you can link them to each new entry as you go.
Beyond changes to the entry schedule and site, One Show Interactive has updated and simplified its categories to be easier to use and to more accurately reflect the state of interactive and digital advertising.

"SCAM" AD Policy
The One Club has decided to take a hard line on agencies creating "Fake Ads." The One Club defines "fake ads" as: ads created for nonexistent clients or made and ran without a client's approval, or ads created merely for award shows that are run once to meet the requirements of a tear sheet.
For 2010 the One Show will be adopting the following new rules and penalties.
* The One Club reserves the right to review 'late-night, ran-once' and launch versions, at The One Club's discretion. If it is determined that the ad was created exclusively for an award show, the penalty will hold.
"The One Club exists to champion excellence in advertising and design in all its forms," says Kevin Swanepoel, President of The One Club. "And we will enforce these rules and penalties to ensure The One Show remains the pinnacle of legitimate achievement. The One Show encourages other international award shows to follow our lead and enforce these guidelines to eliminate scam ads."
